Playing Memoir 44 Campaign Book Volume 2 solo

Postby 50th » Wed Mar 22, 2017 11:28 pm

I've been playing the campaigns from the Campaign Book Volume 2 this week. I am now on the Air Aces campaign, which requires the Air Pack for it's airplanes and air unit rules. I never liked the "official" rules, so I use my own. Here are a few pictures from some of these scenarios.

I have one more scenario to play, I'll try it tomorrow and post pictures and give the final score.

Well, today I finished the Air Aces campaign in Campaign Book Volume 2. Here is a picture after I did my victory rolls, but BEFORE reserve rolls would have been made (had there have been any)

Here is the point where the Japanese won by sinking the aircraft carrier!

The Zero had to get at least one kill on the carrier, (it hit all three).

Also, I used my own air rules because I never liked the "official" air rules.

Howdy, Boys!!! ...that's some setup. Man, I feel like I've fallen so far behind on M44, when I see all the stuff you and other M44 players I admire do. It's still one of the best board/miniatures games for my money. I ran across my gear last week, so this Summer, I am planning to pull some scenarios back to the table. I need to see what I have and what I need...I know some stuff is out of print.

Anyway, that aircraft carrier sinking was devastating!!!

Looks fun!

It was! Then I got the Khalkhin-Gol map pack I ordered and played that campaign solo. Looking forward to playing the overlord map in June when I go to DieCon 17 gaming convention!

I admire how you go to, and GM at game conventions. I've not been for a long time... I was going to Origins this year, and demoing games for Uwe (Academy Games) ....but I've a trip planned instead, that will take up those $-resources.

Between seeing your M44 games, and some friends on FB, I have to dig out my gear!!!
