Ambush Alley: Resources and Q&A

The chart you will need most is the Terrain Effects Chart (TEC)....

LNL Day of Heroes TEC (MWF Version)

Note that this version of the games' TEC is modified for play on Military Wargaming Forum. It gives a visual description of the movement square, as well as the Movement Factor (MF) for Infantry movement cost. The '+' symbol indicates the additional cost for the piece to cross an obstacle (even though there appears to be a break in a wall for instance, it still costs the additional cost to cross).

On Diagonal Movement:

Ok, I tried hard to learn these rules earlier this year (before throwing up my hands in frustration), so at least there's that. I appreciate your reminders along the way, though.

As far as I can tell, I don't have any leaders on the board. Is that right?

That's a good point...I didn't notice there were some leaders available...not many, but let's use these two for you....

Yousef is on the left (square A) and Ali in the right (B). Place them with any units you wish.

The best way to learn a game is to play it so, I think we'll both be better at this game after we're through :D

Can we move or attack diagonally?

I don't see why not. In LNL rules, you can move multi-directionally 'cause of the hex map. I see no difference in theory here.
