CIRCUS MAXIMUS Logistics

Postby Lucky Luke » Thu Jun 06, 2013 4:10 pm

First thing to do is choose the color of your chariot/team...

I have already a reservation for "light blue" assigned to Whiterook

the other color are:

- Green
- Light Blue Whiterook
- Orange
- Purple
- Red
- White
- Yellow

(I put aside the blue because it is too dark and the counter art is almost not-visible! I don't think I have time to correct it)

first arrived, first served... I'll choose last!

Not sure what that is, mate?

Similar to VASSAL. I think CyberBoard was created well before it and used to be the main Pbem utility for playing over the internet (a lot like Aide De Camp 2 from HPS Simulations if you have heard of that).

Right. Cyberboard is another system like VASSAL but run on Windows only. I at first found VASSAL too much complicated and tried Cyberboard, designing some gameboxes (the 'module' in VASSAL...) but when I was starting to do the Firepower one, I find the VASSAL module and re-try to use it...the games with Scott are the proof that I achieve to use it, anyway!

To design some module...it's a very different thing!
But I read that in the wish list of future VASSAL upgrades there is the conversion of Gamebox in VASSAL module...wow!

The properties in VASSAL are more complicated to 'program' than in Cyberboard, but Cyberboard inputs BMP images only, so the gameboxes are larger than VASSAL modules.

Hi guys!

Here we are: it's time to 'build' our chariots...

I hope to post my own chariots soon, please think about yours and feel free to ask anything to clear any doubts.
