Those bases do kinda look like cupcakes, making me hungry! But great job, wish I could paint like that! I have a model Hetzer that is waiting to be finished, but I told my friend I would paint it like the one I saw in the museum. Which is why it isn't done. (low motivation)

Some finishing work went on the "Jaffa" Heavy Cannon. Last work was to the base tripod to the cannon, and I finally glue on the actual cannon to the tripod, completing the uinit. I really like the patina on the gun platform, and think it came out exactly the way I wanted it.

One of the minor problems I faced with it though, was decising the angle of the gun itself. I considered putting the tripod on a base, so that the feet of the tripod were on even ground of the Jaffa miniature manning it; but then I started to think that perhaps I was overthinking it! IN the end, I decided to leave it be, and will place sand on the diorama base to mask the Jaffa minis base. Works for me!

This concluded the Jaffa units in my collection, and will post some better pictures of the group in the Member's Gallery soon.

Thanks! :D

You absolutely CAN paint like that....it's not hard at all. I basically used a couple colors, and let a base coat of black underneath in the nooks and crannies do all the 3-D effect work.

Thanks....I had never done figures like this before, and I must say, they were a lot of fun.
