A diorama base would really finish it off.

I picked up a nice piece of wood, already routered on the sides to a nice shape.

The first thing I'll need to do is figure out how to do a winter scene on it. I have trees and ground material I believe I can use...but it's the snow I don't know how to make. I am thinking spackle....I kinda hate to go with plaster, and spackle is close enough I figure?

I guess celuclay may be another option...or Permastone.

Any ideas would surely help!
If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning
