Dice rolling system

Postby TRDG » Sat Apr 30, 2011 8:01 am

No idea if here are any free ones or one somewhat cheap, but maybe worth looking into guys?

I think some players may get more out of their gaming here if on some games they can roll their own dice sometimes. One that shows the actual dice when rolled and not just have numbers them selves, but anything might work.

Cheers, ya I know, one more thing for you to dig into, but it may help improve the site in the future!! Then perhaps only have it "turned on in our Play by post/PM forums so we don't get a ton of random dice rolling posts.... LOL

I have not seen any mods (the code that needs to be uploaded to the server files to make things like this happen) on this. However, there are many dice rolling websites that do just this, so it's merely a matter of having a second window (tab) open on your browser.

This is what I've used:

http://www.random.org/dice/

Other good ones:

http://www.wizards.com/dnd/dice/dice.htm for different sided dice

http://rpg.norwinter.com/konkret/

http://www.brockjones.com/dieroller/dice.htm
If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning

Got it, thanks for checking it out and the dice site links, I guess let the players decide per game if they want this option.

Cheers, thanks again for the reply sir!!
