Yeah, so I'm watching this as Revolution is over till January, and suspending my disbelief here too.

So they show that the dome is gas permeable, with the water test, and at least nobody has suffocated yet with all the cars driving about and a house fire using up the oxygen.

I may be jaded, but it does seem to be the usual collection of King archetypes and side stories, but I'm watching more to see why the dome appeared. I know I could cheat, but I'll keep watching for the time being.

I take it that the dome is permeable enough to let air in, but not noise. Since it emits a strange charge, I can see it as an energy field more than a physical substance. So, it would in theory fit? Close enough for me :D

I liked the idea of the farmer dude, going to dig his way out. Made me wonder how far down the dome goes.

I like the show so far. And for the record, I too am a Revolution fan...awesome show!

So the "season" has ended for this show and with a mixture of WTF and Who Cares, I just don't know if I'm going to cut my losses, and give it a pass whenever it starts back up. Hey, I was right, Julia was the Monarch and Big Jim has reached Saturday Morning Cartoon Level of villainy. And practically the whole town is ready for execution first, trial later, and full of savant carpenters, that can whip up a gallows in an afternoon based on a book illustration.

This was just a bad program from the get-go, but I watched it because there just not that many genre shows on. Well the new fall season will be starting next week, but I'm only interested in a few things.

Yeah...I can't say your wrong in that summary. I watched the whole season and I have mixed feelings for the plot thus far, but I'll likely pick up where it left off and see if it gets ridiculous or gains it's bearings in year two. I found the actors seem to be getting more comfortable in their roles by end of season, but the plot lines are a mixed bag.

I'm actually reading the book, and am almost halfway through....I can't believe these are even the same story, the TV version is so drastically different.

To me it's a total disappointment! I've seen season one but not season two. I'm not even sure that I'll end up seing season two. I've read the book and the TV series fail miserably when it comes to the complexety of the main characters and as Em have said, at least the dome itself is common with the book but after that...

I actually stopped watching at the final season point, mainly because it got so far ahead of itself in a blink of an eye that, I knew they were trying to cram in ending the loop of the story before it got canned. I was very disappointed at it's developing too quick... and since I haven't read the book yet, I've no idea how far away it missed the mark; other than I did read a couple chapters and just on what Junior did in the beginning made the TV version look like a cartoon.
