I tried to explain the concept of the "Banana Splits" to the Missus, she thought I was crazy, and didn't believe they actually existed.....

They are a little hard to accept, conceptually. Definitely a flavor of the time! Oddly enough though, HR Puff 'N Stuff freaked the Hell out of me!!!!

I introduced my kids to H.R. Puff 'N Stuff through the courtesy of Netflix... :)
It still holds up well today, because they didn't resort to primative blue-screen techniques of other S&M Krofft prouctions....

A great parody.... Sam and Criminy Kraffft present Drugachusettes

Friz are you sure about HR Puff n Stuff I mean I loved that show and Sigmond and the Sea Monster has well. But after hearing about the drugs that were rampant wow.

The Banana Splits I found out is still in Syndication in the US or they were but I didn't like the new look they had. I know the original series was on Boomerang a couple of years ago. And I remember reading about the guy who played Snort the Elephant dying from a drug overdose back in I think 73 or 74. And yes I do have the original Tra La La song or had I should say as a ring tone hmmm I wonder if I can get that for my T-mobile phone now instead of the Hawaii 5-O theme
Let's do this the old navy way, the 1st one to die LOSES!
