The new version of Kings great book, It, is just reaching the UK, we are planning on seeing it on Tuesday. The trailers look really good.

We went to see this and it is a great film, one of the best we have seen.Very good casting (unlike the 80`s version), beautiful cinematography, great effects, and possibly most important it actually followed the book. The sense of menace that only kids seem to see is done very well and gives it a really brooding feel.

It does just deal with part of the book, the part where they are kids, which has been bought into more modern times during the 80`s which does give you a chance to get involved in the story without the time changes.

The backstory of a couple of the kids has been changed slightly which could lead to a change in rolls for them as adults but we will just have to wait and see about that.

Over here it has a 15 rating which is a bit surprising as it was more scary than some of the 18 films we have seen.

We are not sure how much we are looking forward to the second part as on one hand we want to see how things go, but, it is going to have to be really good to live up to part one.
