I began attending to game Convention about 1982...female gamers were more a myth creature than a real persons and sometimes looking as 1/8 of the "XX" segment was missing...

Nowadays (my last con was in 2010) girls gamer are often a hearth-warming sight, and the young male gamers don't know how lucky they are...

I've noticed more females are getting into wargaming here in the States in recent years. With their expanded combat role in our military, perhaps that's a tell-tale sign.

As for conventions....I'd rather see a woman dressed as Princess Leah with a Storm Trooper blaster, than a dude dressed like an over-weight Klingon! :lol: :shock: ...perhaps that's just me, though.

On average it took five Panthers to take out a Sherman. Four would be in a ditch out of fuel or broken down, the fifth one just blows away the Sherman before catching fire by itself.
