I've often wondered this myself! ...how did La Franc Tireur get the German Rat for it's logo....
Bob Walters asked on Gamesquads: "Out of curiosity how did the animal rat become the company symbol for LFT?"
Well, when playtesting and developping our early magazine scenarios, MMP released "out of the Attic", which were only old SL scenarios more or less adapted to the new ASL system. I write "more or less" because Jean Devaux and myself were a bit dissapointed by the lack of art (i.e., the scenario images since they were all the same).
Partly drunk, as usual when meeting with him every tuesday afternoons, we just decided to release a pack of new scenarios "from the cellar" (instead of "out of the attic"), with the rat that you all know brought (nearly) to life thanks to our artist, Manu.
As such, we also have our French soldier drinking wine before going to the front.'
Well, there you go!
If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning
