Kerbal Space Program

Postby Darkeldar » Wed Oct 23, 2013 5:46 pm

Sorry I've haven't been posting, but after finding Kerbal Space Program https://www.kerbalspaceprogram.com/ The child of the space age was hooked.

I'll post some more a bit later, after I've landed on the Mun.

They have just put out version 0.22 as the game is still in development. But they recently added a preliminary R&D system, where as you perform flights, return reports and samples and perform experiments, your space program gains access to more rocket components. Of course, all the components are available in the sandbox mode, but the career mode has you thinking how to meet your objectives with what components you have. Flight difficulties in sandbox can usually be solved by adding moar boosters or moar struts.

Surprisingly, not a lot of math is required, as there are plenty of visual aids available.

There is a free demo available, that was good enough to pull me into purchasing the game.

Hey, I have to say I've never seen anything like this before, and we must have a similar vein 'cause I am a child of the Space Race....and the whole premiss of building your own space vehicles/program and venturing to the stars is pretty frakkin' AWESOME!
If you can't be a good example, be a horrible warning
