Fallout-New Vegas

Postby Darkeldar » Mon Sep 09, 2013 2:13 pm

Well, I just had a Lost Weekend......

I don't know why, but I was working on my Infinity miniatures this past week, but I got the itch to fire this one back up. I had already went through the game once, and "won" with the best outcome for New Vegas, and I when I got the DLCs, I loaded up a saved game just before the final battle and completed them, and then fought the final battle.

So now I rolled up a new character, and I'm trying a lot of the side quests I by-passed the first time. Aaand to be honest, I've been using the console this time around. I guess I know that once I get going, I don't want to spend too much time to get New Vegas out off my system and get back to work on my miniatures.

Yep...That's the one!

While Skyrim is newer, I'm just not into fantasy, and picking up the game and the DLC (later) off of a Steam sale gets a lot of bang for your buck. There is one major plotline with several different endings, and seeing how long you can keep all the different plot threads going till you decide which path to take. And the four DLC stories are not tacked on, but are hinted at as you explore New Vegas. I tried replaying Fallout 3, but there you're still playing towards one ending and deciding the good or evil outcome. With New Vegas, you not only decide what faction to back, but the side quests can actually determine the quality of your "win" when you finish the game.
