Good Idea, thanks guys. I will try it when I go out tomorrow. I will be playing at Die Con XI in Illinois in June. I will be play testing that overlord scenario with my friend Mike on Friday. Yep, just the two of us playing overlord. I'll take some pics and post them. Have a good week, everybody.

What was that all about? And was it necessary to repeat it 5 times?

I used to but we had trouble meeting up. I think a few of the guys still do and there is an open invite. However, the organiser got tired of setting it up only to have people not show, wind up with an odd number, or people without a partner for a specific game. We also tried a league where you played one game a month on a ladder. Scheduling issues killed that. So now I play once a year at a local con.

I do play with an correspondance group. They've been around since 1965. I've belonged for 20(?) years. I have a game of ASL, ASLSK, and Rommel in the Desert going right now. All of them use VASSAL. I'm also the match coordinator. I try to find opponents for people.

For an informl group of work mates at my house, it can be extremely frustrating to set it up a game but it's always worth it when we get a group together and have a great night of gaming. But that said, I can relate!

One of the reasons I ordered Fading Glory and No Retreat is because they are small, short, and simple. I'm hoping to pick up some games face-to-face.

That's a good idea.....and who knows; a few short-style games may lead opponents to wanting to play some larger games!!!

Just got invited to a weekly ASL/ASLSK meeting. I'll probably make it once a month. I also picked up a Tac Air opponent for face-to-face play.
