Happy Thanksgiving
To all those in the States, Happy Thanksgiving. Since my wife's kids are grown and have kids of their own, we are doing Thanksgiving this year with a couple of single friends. They are two single friends that have just met through us, we are getting together for some turkey and games! Turkey02.jpg T...

Re: Wait for the damned turkey!
I used to always put my Christmas decorations up the day after Thanksgiving too, but last year I wasn't in the best health and the decorations didn't go up until I was in the hospital with a broken femur. I am hoping this year my wife will let me put my Star Trek ornaments on the tree (like she did ...

Re: Valor & Victory
Hi evandro, I once downloaded V&V and printed out the rules. Then I discovered Memoir 44 https://www.daysofwonder.com/memoir44/en/ , which is also easy, but includes miniatures! I have every expansion for M44 except for the bag (I don't need no stinkin' bag). Welcome aboard and read some of our ...

Re: Duncan's World War Wargame Pictures
Is this one of the battles of Gholkhin-Gol? I think I recognize that bridge from the Memoir 44 Gholkhin-Gol map set.

Star Trek: White Rose (Part 1)
Captain Douglas switched on his desktop viewer and called up the manifest of the suspect cargo container. He didn't like mysteries, and this was a mystery. The cargo container was brought in by a small tug with tractor beams only because the cargo container is too old to mate to modern tugs. Now tha...

Happy Veterans Day (Yesterday,USA)
Hard to believe that was me over 30 years ago! I was at the home of the field artillery for basic training in the spring of '85.
I just wanted to wish all the veterans a Happy Veterans Day, (even though I'm a day late)!

Re: Spreadsheets Gamer's friend revisited
I began reading my Battletech Master Rules (Revised) book again and decided to do a workbook (spreadsheet) on Protomechs. As a reminder (as I almost never play with protos) Protomechs are small mechs, larger than battle armor, but less than half the size of a mech. They are usually found in groups o...

Re: Spreadsheets Gamer's friend revisited
I made some corrections to the Vehicle Construction spreadsheet. I found that I was coming up with the wrong weight on Turrets. I also changed things around a little to make it more readable. Check this out.

Re: Anyone play classic battletech?
I've been looking at some of the newest rules in the Battletech Rule book, Total Warfare , and found I like the older books and rules better. They've added a whole bunch of new engines, armor, weapons, and equipment. But that's to be expected, as a company takes over an established game they want to...

Re: Spreadsheets Gamer's friend revisited
I have been at work in Excel again! You know from my last post in this thread I use it to create mechs for Battletech. Well, I improved that spreadsheet, and came up with a vehicle construction spreadsheet as well! Both include a combat value page that calculates BV1 values (after you enter ammo ton...
