Re: Looking for input: What modern setting would you like to see a game in?

I just use the one slide with the image of the terrain as the background. And yes, I play the game using PowerPoint, simply moving the counters around the same way I'd move figures on a real table.

Re: Looking for input: What modern setting would you like to see a game in?

I'd love that, too! Just not sure how to do it. My virtual tables are very simple to make. Once I've chosen an image from Google Maps, I take a screenshot in PowerPoint and size it to match the size of a slide. Re: Platoon-size scenario: Over the River and Through the Fire!

Thanks! I really do want to get back to this scenario eventually. This new job is much tougher, and I'm also giving more time to music.

That's another thing I love about simple rules. When I finally get back to this game, I only have one page of rules to reread!

Nordic Weasel's new quick system uses damage points

Nordic Weasel just published a new rule set for simpler wargames, called Squad Hammer. It's available for $12.99 here . I clicked the "full-size preview" on that page and noticed that this new system requires tracking damage points. That was very validating for me, since after years of try...

Re: Finally becoming a real miniatures wargamer ('bout time, right?)

Hey, hope you're all doing ok this week. Yesterday I drug my three kids into an antique shop downtown to watch me buy a tiny factory I spied out two weeks ago: factory.jpg Very excited to make this part of my future table. This was just $10 + tax. Also, I actually got my wife excited to help me make...

Re: "The Chateau", LNLTactical

this one does seem a bit more complicated than Tank on Tank. I think the only thing more complicated is that there are two of us against one. I suggest we don't overthink it and just press on. I'd love to finally finish turn 3. We're close to the objective. Let's complete our pincer move and see wh...
