The reason for this is, what was born out here, is being realized on a grander scale at the new site, Wargaming DropZone . The new site is a content management system, which...

Re: Finally becoming a real miniatures wargamer ('bout time, right?)

Neat thread....and glad t see you venturing into minis. As an aside, I am a model railroader from many years back :D Kids in the 1950-60's ran O-scale trains (my brother included). This is 1:48 scale. These are what most folks think of when they think model trains...and usually what you see under Ch...

Re: Happy Thanksgiving

I hope everyone celebrating Thanksgiving had an awesome and safe day! To those in other counties, I wish peace and love, and urge reflection on the bounties that we have in life; and perhaps try to help ease the burden on those that are in need.

Yeah, to me, there's such magic to playing Chess outdoors in the fresh air...in the good weather, of course. The maj...

UNTIMELY EVENTS

UNTIMELY EVENTS By Emery J Gallant The smell of ozone filled the air. It was the first thing I noticed when my head started to clear, as I lay in a cold puddle in the street. I couldn’t tell you why I was lying in a cold puddle, in a dank alley, late at night. All I could tell you is, my head hurt l...

Re: Pavlov's House Scenario

WOW....I knew of this, but had not looked into it, yet. This may finally get me to set that dang game up soon, over Christmas vacation!!! By the way Ron: Dan Verssen Games (DVG) will have their version of Pavlov's House soon! I helped out with the rules on that, and some playtesting on VASSAL. It's ...

Re: MWF Chess: Frank (W) vs Whiterook (B)

Thanks mate. I have to say that I only saw that on my final check before I made another move  Qxb7, check, and I think mate  Yeah, that would be Checkmate! :D  :?: :D Well, that fell apart quickly for me, hahaha! Two glorious moves Frank... and how they were made is not the importan...
